RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
Bihar State Pollution Control Board is one of foremost Boards of the country to open its R & D wing in 1991. The main objective is to assist the industries in solving the problems associated with the environmental pollution. This wing has worked in association with CPCB, CFRI, CMRI in developing National Emission Standards for hard coke ovens unit, Briquette units etc. This wing helps the industries in monitoring of their trade emmissions and effluents.
A modern library was established in the Board to keep pace with the latest technological developments in field of pollution control. The Board is also an institutional member of The British Library . For the training of industrial personnel in " Environmental Pollution, Monitoring and Control" this Board conducts short training courses at regular intervals.
